Fallout 4 is so expansive, even its creators haven't seen everything

Speaking at a Bethesda-staffed presentation during E3 today, members of Fallout 4's development team described the experience of getting lost in a world of their own creation, hinting that the studio's vision of a post-apocalyptic Boston may be more expansive than players might expect.

"I've played the game probably 400 hours, and I'm still finding stuff that I haven't seen yet," lead producer Jeff Gardiner noted.

Game director Todd Howard further described the experience of wandering an expanding world during development: "I'll be playing the game and run into something and be like, 'Who built this? What is this? It's so big!'"

Revealed during a pre-E3 presentation this week, Fallout 4 features expanded dialogue options, an invulnerable dog companion, and a unique town-building element. We took a close look at the footage released to date, giving you an idea of what to expect when Fallout 4 launches in November for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC platforms.
